I have a tikka t3x superlight that i adjusted the trigger to just over 2lbs. I believe it made a difference with my accuracy. I can install a aftermarket spring and go a little lower. Mabee to 1.5lbs. What's your preference with trigger pull? I'm not sure if I would gain anything going lighter or not. Thanks

Aftermarket trigger springs in tikkas are notorious for causing unintended discharges. Just taking the rifle off safety can cause it to fire.

Back the adjustment screw out until it bottoms out and run it.

I have after market triggers on most of my rifles, the #1s were the first. Those are all set at 3 pounds. I have a couple of bolt guns set at around two, the rest are 3 pounders. Guess 3 is a good number for me.

3 to 3.5 pounds is perfect for me on hunting rifles. If it were a bench only rifle I would opt for a little lighter pull. A crisp trigger is really important. A 4 pound crisp trigger is much preferred over a 3 pound gritty trigger.

On most rifles I prefer something around 2 pounds. I’m starting to get neuropathy in my fingers so I might have to go heavier at some point. My .375 H&H I set to 3 pounds and my bench rest rifle is under 2 ounces.

Never put a scale to my old 110. Recoil is similar to the sharp, brutal sting of a raised knuckle dead arm from Jr high. Took a few passes off the screw with a flat file 20+ yr ago. It's set to go off between commitment to shoot and reflex to flinch.

For hunting rifles, I like them to be just 3 pounds. If you use it in the winter and cold, your big puffy gloves will pull the trigger for you. Gophers, Prairie dogs, and paper ( no gloves), I still like no less than 2 pounds.
