I was out driving today and saw some turkeys off the side of the road, so I stopped to look at them. Turned out to be a bunch of hens and one tom. As soon as I stopped, the tom took off straight toward my truck.

He the proceeded to kick/scratch/peck at my tire.

He then flew up and tried to kick at me through the open window. I didn't get that on video, but I did get him gobbling at my mouth yelp.

Finally, I took off, and he gave chase after me.

My best guess is that my tire looked like the fan of another tom and that's what set him off. This all just makes it that much more frustrating when I can't get one to come in during hunting season...

Do you have chrome wheels? I've heard of burds doing this to their own reflection. I love the color on that bird. Most of what I hunt look like mutts. He's gorgeous.

That was my first thought, but my truck is pretty dirty at the moment, so it's not real reflective. And he went straight for the tire.
