Way to go cmc. I am hoping to hunt those guys one year. Seems like a fun hunt when I am used to sub-zero temperatures up here that time of year. I don't know if I am ready to chase them with a bow though. Way to go and congrats.

mtmiller,
as I drove back home with pig in tow the temp gauge on the truck mirror said 80. I carried that pig over a mile in high 70's weather in early January. That was the only thing that sucked on the trip. Hot!

but it's a dry heat...

MTMiller, the bow is the funnest way to kill them. They cant see for shit so once you find them you can work down wind of them and always get in bow range if you are quite. I got a kill on video a few years back that was pretty fun to do. Dont count out the bow if you are going down there. You seem like you kill your share of critters and you may find it no challenge if you use a rifle. If you can kill a carp you can kill a desert rat!
