Hey guys,

I finally drew the tag and it will be my first Pronghorn hunt. I'll head out in a couple of weeks to hunt basically the last 10 days of the season, more or less.

I'm hoping to get a real good taste of chasing these interesting critters and to hopefully score on one of the nice trophy animals that are said to live there.

I have gathered some info on the unit but any additional sharing would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't know anything about the unit, but a buddy just came through on his way home. He hunted 62 and said that there were gobs of bucks, but the drought has really affected the horn size. He killed a real nice buck, but no monster. The Game Warden said that all the mature bucks seemed to be the same size because of two years of drought.

The backstrap was sure good hot off the grill, though.
