Wyoming Type 9, Units 39, 40, 41, or 45

Sorry to add to the mess of people trying to figure out what to put in for in Wyoming. I have never hunted or been in either of the units, but have archery hunted elk in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming before. I have 9 points, so it looks like the archery only hunts I would have good chance of drawing any of the units. Does anyone have any insight to why 45 is harder to draw? I see some wilderness in 41 and 45. Is this where most of the elk will be in Sept? Or can I get into them without being in the wilderness?

Simply because most, including myself, consider unit 45 to be the best unit for archery elk in the Big Horn Mountains and no, you don't have to hunt the wilderness to get into plenty of elk. If you want a good hunt on your 9 PPs, then definitely IMHO put in for 45-9 and hunt as many days in September as you possibly can since it will be another ten years or more before you get another chance.
