Wyoming high winds & shelters

I read a lot about how crazy the winds can be on Wyoming antelope hunts. My question is, will a tipi or setup such as the seek outside cimarron or something similar hold up well during these conditions? I know I’ll probably be best just taking it down during the day if the winds are expected to be crazy but what about at night?

I'd have no worries with a well made tipi style tent holding up if put up and staked properly. My small Sierra Designs tipi did well last month in NM in winds as high as any I've encountered pronghorn hunting.

We used our SO 12 person tipi as antelope base camp and it did fine. We staked and guyed it out completely. I’d use it again without worry.

Probably won't be a problem but I'd still look for a sheltered place to put it instead of a wind swept ridge.
