Looks like Mr. Hicks has a little more persuading left to do. ;)

That’s great news, but The Fear is running hard in people now. It’s going to be interesting to see how this affects the upcoming draws.

I doubt he is done. A quick look at his bill drafting history shows he has tried stuff like this several times before, so we can safely assume he will do it again.

He has also submitted bills to require all state employees take an unpaid two week furlough several times in the past. None of those passed either.

Why don’t they vote this dumbass hicks out? I mean really..
Good idea. Sounds like the best solution to many problems. Worst problem is his term doesn’t end until 2023. I don’t understand how he’s been in the position since 2011. Sounds like he tries to push some pretty wild bills.

Hicks is elected by the voters in his district. Maybe you should talk to them.

To that point, I emailed Hicks and asked him if this bill is the voice of his constituents. After all, as a state senator, his job should be to speak for the majority of them.

Hicks is from Baggs in Albany County which is a far-left constituency for the most part. I have seen the craziest ideas proposed by anyone representing that district.

He’s actually in carbon county. I bet my email was more direct than yours. 😁
I believe I have a copy of his first campaign poster from around 2001.

Another reason Government costs keep going up

Website I looked at showed him representing Baggs and Laramie. Yer prolly right though. Websites are only as good as the numbskull that puts it up.

Baggs is in Carbon, Laramie in Albany. No way he has to canvas any votes out of Laramie. He makes Ted Cruz look like a socialist. Knew him years ago in Saratoga, not the most pleasant.
