Wyoming hard water walleyes

I caught these in the derby last weekend
In order
7lb 8 oz 3dr place
6 lb 12 oz 5 place
4 lb 13 oz 7 place
4 lb 4 oz 11 place.
1 lb 12 oz nothing
This was the highest weight by one person ever but it only counts by each fish.

I held 3rd and 4th till the last hour...

The long sinny fish are ling.

I was cold windy and I had a total of 9 bites in 51 hours on the Ice in 3 days but it was fun.

I have never caught/eaten a burbot, but have heard good things. What say you?

Ling/burbot eat very well. I cook them in garlic butter with a little sea salt and pepper.

I am in Shoshoni 3 miles from the lake., I know tuff but some body has to live close tom the water

I used to live in Riverton. Loved that derby and fishing the lake.

It has really grown and has about 300 people in it now. They paid $266 for first and had 5 different categories’ Trout, Ling, Walleye, Perch and Catfish..
