I'm changing my application area to Wyoming from NM. I have 0 preference points and am trying to understand the list of random tags and the % chance of drawing. Am I reading it right to think that if a unit has 100+ random tags and shows 100% with 0 preference points that I should get drawn? If those high permit units have a lot of BLM or walkin land available then they should be the first choice?

The best way to see what you have a chance of drawing with zero points is to look at the random draw odds on the WY Game and Fish website. Apply 1st choice for a unit with a higher tag quota than 1st choice applicants. You can look for a good second choice unit there as well. Just add the 1st and 2nd choice applicants and compare to the tag quota.
