Does anyone know if you apply to get a leftover type 4 Cow Elk tag this coming summer that it won’t take your preference points? Correct? I was told if I applied for a type 1 as first choice and type 4 as my 2nd choice then I’d loose my one point that I have..?? Wanted to make sure that if I don’t get drawn for type 1 that I can still get a leftover type 4 without using points..thanks!

Second choice does not use points. The leftover draw doesn't use points either.
