Hi Guys:

New to these forums. I am a regular over at Realtree.com.

Anyway I was advised that area #27 was a decent place to hunt antelope in Wyoming. Most of it is public land (Thunder Basin National Grasslands). To my surprise I drew a tag (agianst the odds). I would like to bow hunt this area (or rifle later on). I've bow hunted in the past with no success and hope this will be the time. Any rain out there this summer?

Anyone familiar with that area of Wyoming?

Thanks in advance,
good luck to all

Lots of rain. It is the greenest I have ever seen that part of Wyoming, or at least when I drove through a few weeks ago.

You should have a great hunt, whether rifle or archery. Tons of antelope and lots of public land.

Good luck.

We will be looking for your pics when you are done.

I've hunted 27 a number of times. Good unit for a public land hunt but not really a trophy hunt. If you are wielding a bow, there are a few waterholes in the area it would by wise to set up around. Even in October the weather can get hot and thats where they are. Good luck to you and PM me if you have any questions.
