WY elk 2025 draw results

i've long been quite curious about that tag. i suspect you'll find a dandy.

Infinitly higher than if you didn't draw a tag.

Harvest success rates in most Gen units run in the 20-35% range.

I checked three (3) times today and got the same result each time: Four separate elk entries- 3 for GEN W and one to a LE Unit, zero tags.

Still holding out for a system error.

I double checked years ago and my unsuccessful turned into a successful sheep tag!

It weird looking at the draw results and being like wow I could have draw that tag

The tag we got, could have been drawn in reg draw with 5 pp, not 17!!!!!! I finally hit a home run! I paid special money and I could have drawn with reg money. I made an big error there But I didn't have to wait 12 more years! Good deal for 5 pp

Well since finding out that I drew a very coveted elk tag my journey has begun. First in foremost, getting in elk shape hunting shape. This will include hiking a couple of miles three at an 8% grade (it gets your heart rate up) then a group exercise class of cardio/chisel . I will also lift weights using my Bowflex twice-three times a week. I will also plan several hike in fly fishing trips at 8000 ft plus. I'll be grinning with every drop of sweat. More to follow. Here are the results: 1), enjoyed every minute of the adventure, 2) saw a bunch of elk, 3), for me- made a great shot, 4) a trophy of a lifetime, and a fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

My 3 hunting pards drew the same tag with 0 points each.
2 of them had 0 points because they drew this tag last year with 2 points, while I had 2 and didn’t draw.

Go figure….

Have fun! I was in that area Antelope hunting last October and saw a really nice bull. Only a half mile from a county rd. Should be a good hunt. He was still bugling like crazy.

I shot a buck after missing a pretty good one the first day! It was a fun short hunt.

got the excitement today that my dad drew a permit, followed shortly by the disappointment that he drew **-1 which is "Any elk valid on private land west of U.S. Highway *** and north and east of the ********** starting at the ***************". whoopsie daisy, thought he was applying for general tag...
