WY antelope /deer conundrum….your thoughts?

How many tags are in your pronghorn unit vs public land access? We typically wait until the 2nd week of season to let the opener crowds disperse, but that's in a crowded unit. On a cold year pronghorn can start to group up in mid-late October, leading to a harder stalk and less clean shot opportunities.

I wouldn't sweat missing the opener, but my priority would be the pronghorn tag. Muley behavior won't drastically change through that pre-rut time.

A solution to consider is donating the doe tags to one of the veterans organizations. I believe there are programs that allow the tags to be transferred You got lucky and drew a great tag, and 2 disabled vets will get to enjoy the doe tags you provided.

That's a win win in my book.
