Was surprised I couldn't find (in 5 minutes of searching) a worn out boot picture thread. Ironically I'm not even posting a picture of my boots...replacing my blown out insoles with close to 1k mi on them.

I believe I bought these in 2001 to replace another pair of Redwing boots that were almost 20 years old.
I've had them resoled twice. I only wear them for hunting in dry conditions, camping and fishing. Back then they were still made in the USA, don't know if that still applies. They have been darn good boots. (y)

I want to laugh at nearly every pic. But some are impressive. Haha don’t you all buy like hundreds of dollars in beer and gas and broadheads and arrows and maintenance on your truck boat camper atv etc??? Can’t get some $200 danners for the next two years?!?

Not me man. I’ve never paid $200 for a pair of boots, and I never plan to.

Also, the most I’ve ever paid for a firearm was $600. My most recent purchase was a $90 shotgun.

My goal is to make the hunting industry go broke trying to advertise to me.

My danners were 180 and I gritted my teeth spending that much. Got my bow from a friend for 400 turn-key.. and it’s a cannon. My 07 PSE keeps up with my bro’s 2020 model. I’m a budget shopper as well. But man some of these boots would have got the can years ago IMO. Footwear is pretty important here in Montana

These boots get wore probably 12 hours a day everyday. They are real comfortable but they don't do to good on wet days. Been kinda hard on socks is the worst part.

Interesting thread, I don’t have any pics of mine, I never thought anyone would care to see em! I had a pair of fantastic Danners once and I once spent around $400 on a pair of Scarpas, I’ve also had a whole string of Merrels and other junk that cost a fraction of the Scarpas. I think I’ve finally learned my lesson when it comes to hiking boots. I have gotten what I paid for. After last weekends 15 miles in the mountains it made me realize I should have not been a tightwad and bought more Scarpas or other high end boot… Pay $100 4 times or $400 once, and the expensive ones have come with less foot problems too.
