This is not just Texas. Across the Pond - Fish Slapping

Then there is the recent Irish girl sought after fish-slapping incident in Lancashire

When I introduced my kids and some of the boy scout patrol to Monty Python, about 20 years ago, they did enjoy the fish slapping dance and some of the boys began doing it on camp outs, but then, we did live in Texas at the time. Could have become infectious and spread.

Being catfish slapped at 2:20 in the morning is one of the milder aspects of East Texas cultural ignominy.

..although it beats being shot in gun free Chicagga.

Not sure what would be worse... Getting hit with the Catfish, or trying for the next two days to get the catfish stink out of your nose.

If it was a concealed catfish, I feel really sorry for whatever clothes concealed it.
