Wolf interview with Doug Smith (Yellowstone)

Thanks Rob. I was eating my dinner while reading this article -
I take their temperature with a rectal thermometer. That's where the tapeworm eggs come out. I now wear rubber gloves, but I wash my hands in snow, then eat my lunch. I wouldn't worry much about it.

The coyotes split up into pairs and have come back to normal numbers equivalent to before the wolf influx... They are an adaptable critter and that wouldn't surprise me.

The position of both the State Vet & the Wildlife Vets is: If you don't want wolf tapeworms, don't put your mouth on or around a wolf's anus.

Done & done.

Eating moist, or vigorously sniffing dried, feces is also discouraged.

I've painstakingly researched this by contacting 6 other people who haven't looked at any science but think just like I do and they all agree that these Mackenzie Valley tapeworms are 30 - 35% larger than our native Northern Rockies Tapeworms.

Are they Canadian tape worms? I hear they're much bigger and eat way more.

They also have a much more voracious appetite, kill just to kill, and shoot laser beams out of the scolex. All things Northern Rocky mountain tape worms don't do.

Wolf problem solved. All the wolf ass kissers will die from tapeworms and the rest of us can just shoot all the wolves we want!
