Caitlin Clark finally

As a fan of several, it's been fun and exciting to watch women's college and professional basketball elevated to a higher level.

As an aside, a talented point guard, Jada Davis, is predicted to lead the Bozeman Gallatin High School double A team to a second consecutive state title. She and the Gallatin RAPTORS basketball team are fun to watch.

Paige is a great player. Reese is a rebounding machine but misses a ton of easy buckets.
Reese is never a sure shot even when arm’s length from being at the basket zone. I think is obvious she intentionally hard bricks if under the basket to pad rebound totals. Rebounds do not make you elite or else Dennis Rodman would have eclipsed the popularity of Jordan and Pippin when were all on the bulls. Her 2-point shooting percentage is quite low for someone who camps under the rim.

Clark being left off the Olympic team was jealousy of her popularity. That bonehead is how women’s basketball continues to self-sabotage.

Ball-handling is sloppy. Reduce the ball diameter. Measure the hands of women pro players and set ball diameter to same ratio as men pro player hands.

Rebounding is not taking place near the rim as 10’ is too tall compared to the average vertical leap. Easy fix. Set rim height as same ratio to average pro women players’ vertical leap to men’s ratio.

Reduce rim diameter to be same ratio as men’s diameter to rim ratio.

These changes will result in showcasing the talents of women players rather than the sloppy, slow-pace game being showcased now by the WNBA.

WNBA players are seeking contracts more in line with players in the NBA. And you think they should shrink the ball and lower the basket? Yeah right. mtmuley

I don't think Reese misses intentionally, it comes very naturally to her.

The women's ball is smaller than the men's ball presently. Since the rim is the same diameter, it helps their shooting percentage.

There just will never be a three dimensional aspect to women's basketball. Women just do not have anywhere near the vertical leaping ability.

I enjoy watching female basketball for what it is. In many ways, it resembles what more ordinary male basketball talent looks like. The percentage of males who can dunk a basketball has never been very large.

They should make what the product brings in. At the moment, that's a lot less than the NBA.

They probably average almost foot shorter with equivalently smaller hands. Just the nature of male vs female.

They already have a smaller ball, but not by that much. Lowering the goal would just make it a dunkathon like the NBA. I don't think that would be an improvement.

They do need to stop letting the women beat up on each other. There are far too many injuries.

No, other than the need for more control of the game from crap officials.

I get that. But currently the players make less than what the product brings in. Maybe one of our resident experts that post a bunch of charts and graphs will see this thread. mtmuley
