Well guys, sorry to say.... my high hopes did not pan out this year - so no hero thread for me..

I had a great 2 weeks of hunting, the wheat field kept plenty of deer moving through my property. I saw deer just about every time I went out. I had several opportunities at smaller bucks, but I have a whole garage full of basket racks from my younger days, and I don't really care to add to the pile.... rather shoot a doe, and that didn't happen either... yet..

Here are a few pics I snapped while patiently waiting for bull-winkle to show up...

A nasty snow storm last Wednesday morning - got 5 inches of the white shnit in 4 hours:

Went back out when it quit....

Too young to know any better...

Maybe next year if the DNR's unlimited $2 doe tag campaign don't annihilate the herd completely....

That would be a range finder called the "Quick Range" - It's slicker than Big Slick himself...
