Took the kid to Napa for his first trip to the land that put American wine on the map, but instead of cabernet sauvignon we were looking for turkey.
First, pre game gut busting meal.
(Yes that is a scorpion tattoo on his neck)
If it gets cold we can make ourselves a fire. Seriously though these smudge pots are amazing for a patio....or in the vineyard.
Set up number one, nap time.
Set up number two, more nap time.
Third setup was the charm. This Tom decided to break away from the hens and came in pretty quick to the first call. He perched up on the hill on the far side of the decoys and took his time once he was in line of sight. The little man did awesome sitting still for roughly tend minutes. A slow raise of his shotgun, slight pivot left and he let him have it. Great first bird for my son.
