Yes, there is a fence and road plowed around the whole BLM border. Ok whatever. But to park a 5th wheel camper in the middle of the road we land on??? To add to that they are driving off road everywhere making new roads on the BLM. Will update as with more pics later this weekend

Document, Document, Document!

That camper cannot be in the same place for more than 14 days. Illegal offroad use plus ground disturbing practices without a NEPA document on Fed and State Land is bad news.

These fellows are not accustomed to not getting what they want. Plenty of money to run equipment, erect structures, pay lawyers and fines, etc. Impede, discourage, redirect wildlife and hunter movements? Practitioners of The Golden Rule. He who has the gold, rules.

" True colors " is right. is the fence a livestock type , or is it meant to be elk proof, once the elk are all spooked off the blm ?

Sounds like an investigative reporter needs to be contacted. If they are going to go full dirtbag after losing the swap proposal, it's only fair to make the general public aware of their actions. When the next proposal comes about the court of public opinion will have already weighed in.

Simplified cliff notes. Wilks Bros own private land all around this public area. No public access except by fly in. Wilks Bros proposed to swap BLM some less desirable land in return for this piece of property. Public outcry and opinions against the swap convinced BLM to decline their offer. Now looks like Wilks & Co have an urgent need to do some projects either right up against this public land or possibly on it.

Montana’s hunter harassment law is another tool designed to protect hunters from those who impede lawful activity. The pertinent language is in Montana Code 87-3-142, and says: “Harassment prohibited. (1) A person may not intentionally interfere with the lawful taking of a wild animal or fishing by another. Breaking this law is a criminal misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment not to exceed 30 days, or both. A person convicted of a second or subsequent violation punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 1 year, or both.”
