Who's cooking?

Charlotte did most of the cooking and I did the carving of the ham & turkey. Everyone ate large, watched a football game, cleaned up and now it is over! Happy, Happy, Happy Thanksgiving! John

At my house, we don't cook thanksgiving dinner, just eat like pigs.
About a dozen years ago, I noticed the women folk were complaining more and more about all the work, cooking for days and cleaning for days afterward. The cost was getting out of hand as well. So I started a new family tradition. I take them all to the big buffet at the local Radisson.

Turkey, prime rib, both cooked and cold smoked salmon, crab legs, caviar, ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, peel & eat shrimp, dozens of cheeses, salads, every side dish, clams, mussels and a giant dessert bar, ect, ect.

About to start a cherry and apple cobbler, and a tub of cornbread dressing. Kids coming at 5:30, vino decorked at 5.;)

The happiest of Thanksgivings to all from the harley home.

That's not what I thought Texas looked like. Nice place Ken.

Have a great day all.

Me either, I thought Texas looked more like this:

Cooked waaay too much food....sent leftovers home with the kids. My 15 month old granddaughter saved me...she said 'night night' which is code for going to my bedroom and firing up the DVD for 'Nemo'....I volunteered.

Dink, you haz the reefer madness?

Surely you also dozed off during cleanup. That is a part of the meal as much as mashed potatoes.

I brought a baby to a family where all the others have grown childs, if they want to slobber on my kid they have to do the dishes and cooking;)

Dink, you haz the reefer madness?

Oh my, did the MIL add extra ingredients to the brownies:eek:

To be honest, to many Texans, it looks like Lake City, Colorado in August.;)

This is more like it...
