Just wondering what everyone will be using to hammer the deer. I will be using my custom 257weatherby with 115gr Bergers. And for the longer shots over the 600yd range my 338RUM will get the calling. Been shooting this rifle out to 800 with some very good results. Milk Jugs don't have a chance. Will be the first outing for the 257 but have been pd with it so shots out to 500 will be relatively easy. HAPPY HUNTING

Wichester model 70 300 win mag with the boss system and jewel trigger . Leupold 6.5x20x50mm with the premier reticle dot system . shooting winchester mag primer, winchester brass, 83 grains h-1000's and a 180 grain nosler ballistic tip.

2 more weeks till my rifle elk hunt is here

Rug. #1 7MM Rem. Mag w/ VXIII 3.5x10x40...154 gr. Hornady Interbonds & Sako Finnlight 270 WSM w/ Zeiss 4.5x14x44...140 gr. Federal Accubonds for deer & hogs.

I'm going to use my Steyr Prohunter in 300 win mag and 168gr Barnes TSX with 83 gr H1000 for deer and elk.

When I get drawn for antelope in Oregon (hopefully in the next year or two) I think I'll work up a load for 200 grain Sierra Gameking boattails; probably use H1000 for the 200 grain antelope load too.

270 Win. w/150 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips for deer, and 140 grain Barnes TSX for elk. I only have about 10 of the Barnes left, so if my elk takes more shots than that I've got some 160 grain Partitions for back up.

257 wby mag with hand rolled 120 gr nosler partions. Or the 300 RUM with 180 factory scirroco's. All depends on the eenie meenie minie moe on the day. They both shoot dime size groups.

mostly my 270 Antelope and deer I hand load for it with 130 grain hornady I.B's but will break out the 300win for elk season and may which it up with my 25-06 for kansas whitetails

Since I'm staying local this year for blacktails, provided one doesn't get tipped over with archery tackle, it will be my 6.5x55 pushing 140g Federal Power-Shoks

Wow, can't believe I'm the first to say 30.06 with a 165 gr bullet. Haven't decided between Core-Lokts or Federal/Sierra ammo.

.300 WBY Mag for all animals. Love how accurate it is, and can't beat it for long range for all the animals.

deer 6.5X55 with 140 noslers, and elk, 338 win mag with 215 sierras..it seems to like em

I'm right there with sreekers.
I shoot a Mark V Weatherby in 300 WBY Magnum.
It's topped off with leupold 3 1/2 x 10 50mm scope, and spits out 180gr Nosler Ballistic tips with incredible speed and accuarcy.
I know some people scoff at Ballistic tips, but i have no reason to change, they do everything i have ever asked them to do on deer & elk, and then some.
I LOVE that rifle!!:p

Deer and pigs will be the Mathews LX with 100 gr. rage 3 blade. 68# pull. 29 1/4 in gold tips with BH weigh in at 430gr. even.

But if I must use a rifle it will be the Rem mt. rifle 270 hand loads consist of 130 gr. nosler balistic tip with 60 gr. of hodgen 4831 sc. It is a compressed load but it sure shoots good. Topped with a Leupold 3x9 compact. Very light gun.

Just won a winchester mod.70 in 270 wsm. Put a nikon 3x9 on it and factory 130gr. it shoots ok. About an inch at 100. That thing kicks like a mule, my 300RUM has less recoil!!300 RUM has a leupold 4x12.

Remington 700 mountain rifle in 270 cal with 140 grain core lokt ultras and my remington 300 win mag for back up and elk using 180 grain core lokt ultras.
