So it seems the choice for next year is a dyi hunt for mules in se Montana on private land or Arizona on public for mules just north of Phoenix. Thoughs?

Landowners might get upset if you shoot their mules. I would recommend hunting deer or elk instead.

Feds might get mad if you shoot their mules (burros) in AZ but we don’t care if you don’t.

Might be a hefty fine shooting mules. Well unless you have the farmers permission that is.
