I do not know what our new governor has shot. If she only has an 870, I might donate a double barrel to her. But what I do know is that her father, Jim, was the outdoors writer for the Star Tribune, when I was a kid and the only column I read in the paper as a youngster because it was all about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in general.

She's been hit and miss on conservation issues but never was in a position where she had her party running everything--and in MN that means everything now. But her party has some extreme folks that might block some things. It appears that some type of ban on assault rifles and large mags is a certainty now..that won't affect hunters for the most part though and I trust her ability to avoid impacts that do. My main concerns are with ag issues--she's smart and knows them but tends to align with farm interests when it comes to environmental changes impacting them. It might take care of itself due to over-harvesting and looming crash of the timber industry.... but I also worry about her willingness to restore sustainable management to our forested state lands.

They have a governors deer hunt too, but in recent years conflicts between the kill all the wolves people and that event have affected it. Hoping she'll take an interest in building it back up.

I think a lot of younger people are pretty sick of socialism for the old, corporations, and other countries. The "socialism" argument increasingly will fall on deaf ears as they foot the bill for monthly income for people that 2/3rds of dont have a mortgage (cause they own it, outright). Footing the bill for increasingly regressive socialism (SS) will certainly lead to increased demands for more benefits for people who are inclined to need it to exist.

Now we will get to see a new batch of leaders do their acting/projecting/pretending to seem like they give a shit about anything related to Epstein, so theres that at least.
