It really depends on the season, I use to hunt with a bow, Shotgun, Rifle, and Muzzleloader, I don't have much free time anymore so it is just Rifle now.

It was to save any undue suffering to animals, banned in the 60's.
To make it clear, i do not agree with it.

It dose depend what game is being persuade. But for big game , 50 or 54 cal flint lock. Make it a challenge. If ya miss it makes you a better hunter working out all the things that went wrong. If your successful you become the the man that got'er done.

When everything comes together for that one shot, their is no better feeling in the all of hunting then that moment when you pull the trigger and ........... you have no idea , all the black smoke clouding your view, but deep inside you confident of the shot , everything you've learned from all the previous practicing and hunting experiences.

Same can be said for the bow as well.
