What you all cookin for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Reverse sear Ribeyes, baked potatoes, home made macaroni and cheese, brussel sprouts, rolls, and banana pudding for dessert.

Should be going down in about an hour or so!

The trick to making a ham edible these days is a few hours indirect on the Weber kettle. I had given up on ham.

I understand we are also having tater salad, sweet tater casserole, macaroni & cheese, no collards for some reason (what is that even all about?!), banana split pie and a chocolate pinwheel.

Everyone but my mom has gone home. She'll be staying the night and watching the kids for me in the morning allowing me to have a last chance at shooting a buck this year (a great Christmas present). Nice to have a quiet family dinner after what feels like day's of parties with friends and extended family. Elk Wellington, twice baked potatoes, with roast carrots and eggnog Tres leches cake for dessert.20251225_180551.jpg

So 2 things
1- Holy shit do we have a lot of cardboard to get rid of.
2. The prime rib was great but with kids and everyone liking different things. Stand that many young kids running around that was a nightmare with all the food we prepared trying to time it all and not have the wife and I kill each other. Simpler food for Christmas next year and save the good stuff for new years for just us.
