What left this?

I’m not a expert on crap but am curious if anyone knows what could have left this? It’s from a neighbors back yard by his garden. He said his garden was pretty much torn up down to the roots of what they had planted. Lives in a residential neighborhood but there’s a bunch open space behind his house not far.

could be hog crap, they certainly root things up, I really hope it is not as hogs that far north would be a real extension of their range.

Coyote poop is usually more logular but often gets that chalky dry whitish color quickly. I could see coyotes rooting up a garden especially if there were organic fertilizers used like bloodmeal bonemeal fishmeal ect.

A second vote for hog crap. As a youth on the farm I sure hopscotched through plenty that looked like that with the exception of the color.

I've seen deer that feed on alot of green grass look like that. Clumped together in a ball. Just not that color.

We did a euro of a beautiful boar shot two years ago ... in Saskatchewan. Yep, they are that far north.
