“What good did I do today?”

My wife?

I’ve had feminist types spin their heads over me holding doors. I ignore complaints and silently hold the door until they go through with a smile. A few have walked away. Contrarily, I won’t let them hold the door for me which makes them even madder when I take the door from them with a smile. There’s only a few. They’ll probably wait for me in the building shrubs to stab me someday.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I thought I was holding the door for a lady…”😄

Whatever you do with your day, make it a worthwhile endevour.

Picking up my truck yesterday there was a young gal with kids, in a bad way. I have seen it. Too often.
She was broke, bald tire and desperate.
I told Yyvone I wanted to help her out. She said the guys were already getting her 2 good tires. I offered to pay for the tank of gas,she said "Done deal already".
So I went across the street to the cafe and asked the gal to cover this young mom's meals and a room for the night. Took the receipt back to the J&Y and gave it to Jerry to give to the gal. I put a hundred dollar bill on it.
"Off the record", I said. "Maybe she will make it back home to her folks." Jerry said he will make sure she does. "Sheriff has a roadblock at the border waiting for the lowlife after her. They plan on her making it back home."
Deputy told me this morning, "She is back at her folks house ,safe. The town did good"....and the ahole is in jail.

Yesterday, I introduced myself to a person who is fighting to ruin something I love, and I was nice about it.

Today, I sat down with 13 strangers, one at a time, and treated them like they were my family. I got one of them a cup of water.

I got out of bed. Got dressed. Went to work. Dropped off my taxes at my tax preparer. People are counting on me. mtmuley
That’s the exact same start to the day my mom had, except I’m the tax preparer (I hate taxes). So I’m putting that down as my good deed for the day…

Not a lot. Delivered a couple invites to my granddaughter's birthday party. Then it was all me. Got the Harley out again but got shut down with a nasty storm rolling in fast. Had to rip it back home before it hit, then lit the grill for my steak.

In our offices Fridays are clean up days. Typically any customer proposals due friday we submit Thursdays. Fridays are a chill office day. Everyone goes home early. We'll in this case the hospital had a therapy pool go bad and wanted a proposal to remove the pool , fill in the hole and convert the pool room to office space. Due to the pool leaking they wanted a proposal in 3 days and it was due today. So rather then add to anyone's plate I deligated it to myself. So no clean up friday for me. I got to work and saw 3 or 4 guys overwhelmed. Helped them till they were cleaned up and done. Got them headed out the door to their young families and started putting the proposal together. Got it completed , sent out and I headed home. Very long day. But I sure wish someone was there to help me 25years ago when my kids were little, Work was overwhelming and the wife wanted to know how soon I would be home. We'll worth the effort and that is what team work is about.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Today my wife and I took an excursion to shore fish a local reservoir with nice holdover trout. There was only one other fisherman about a 1/4 mile away. It was slow fishing but the fish are real nice, just a good getaway day place. We caught three and that was good enough. Before we left I walked down to the other fisherman. He was having a slow day. I dialed him in on how were catching them. He came down our way and maybe my info helped him get a few.

God Bless you!!!!!

I do the same. Off topic but their is nothing worse than someone who doesn't acknowledge you holding a door or who doesn't hold it for someone else. Instantly boils my blood. If I teach my kids nothing else it will be to always hold the door and always give a firm handshake. Two worst pet peeves.

I 100% agree.

My buddy shakes hands like a little bitch and I remind him of that fact a LOT. Lol

I ridded the world of 2 more possums today.

I have this mental issue where I actually think that I’m single handedly going to solve the turkey population problem here in Georgia by trapping predators. Meanwhile, everyone else is worried about how big those sprouts of minerals are on top of a damn deers head…..

1 Year Total:
Trash Panda-34
Georgia Silver Fox - 24
Skunks - 3
Coyotes-4
Bobcats-4

All caught on my little property.

Maybe one day, we will see a turkey tree.
