Every year the wife and I swear it's time to cut back on the gifts......but, I got a Digital Camera, now I can scrap those Little Green Disposable ones! I also recieved a Digital Game scouting camera that takes either still or Video and a Bunch of Craftsman Power Tools in the Big Ass case with extra Batteries! I recieved a new Marine Battery Charger and a ton of Gift Cards, which says "Your too damn hard to satisfy!", last but not least the Garth Brooks Box Set...which is up for swapping! John

I indulge a gear fix year round without wife or kids' complaint. That's enough & I'm hard to buy for. My youngest (and smartest) favorite daughter got me a gift card to Cabelas anyway.

I got a $200 Cabelas gift card also! And...a box of diapers.

Oh, and best of all my deer antlers from this year on a plaque, done by a taxidermist. Looks great.

Garth had a few good hits, then.......Washington Hunter, I made a Templet of Louisiana and make my own Plaques for myself and other special people. NHY, Texas would make a nice Plaque. John

I got lots of neat stuff (and some not so neat, but "Shhhhhh" - it IS the thought that counts.) I know that I am hard to buy for, since if I need or want something, I just buy it. I got some stuff for the toy hauler, a nice fleece jacket and a few things that my 7-year old bought for me... a flashlight "because you're always looking for one," a tape measure "because I borrow yours and then you can't find one," and a little combination tool "because I might need to borrow it."

I also got my 150 qt ice chest back from Moe, who used it to bring home that lousy little forky he got in Colorado. He had to use my ice chest instead of his 120 qt one because mine was bigger ( ), his had his extra clothes in it and mine was easier to empty out and so on. I just think he didn't want to get blood in his...

This was my best x-mas ever! I got a pair of Swarvorski 10x50 binoculars, a Cabelas backpack that carrys bow/rifle. i also got a Kershaw exchange blade saw/knife package. Way cool!

I'll take that Garth brooks box set if u don't want it.....

As far as hunting stuff goes I ended up with a new pair of insulated camo hunting pants from cabelas in outfitter camo, a new Nikon rangefinder, a gift certificate to my favorite archery shop, a headlamp, and a new cover for my bow target. Didn't do too bad.

I got a few things, including $100 in "Big Five" sporting goods gift cert.s
The trouble is, Big Five is NOT my favorite sporting goods store, 98% of the stuff they carry is cheap, Chinese knock offs, and low quality crap.
I guess I can use them to get hunting & fishing licenses, and the rest on plinking ammo.
Anybody here know of anything that Big Five carrys that is worth buying ?

Some of the camping stuff, name brand sunglasses, etc. might be ok..but only if it's on sale. I get my work out shoes there...again only if on sale. Think they buy up a lot of overstock.

I got some camping chairs, a Craftsman Circular Saw, some drill bits, a stud finder, some other tools, a few DVD's and CD's, a lanyard for my predator calls, and my big gift for the year.....an IPOD Video!!

I got a new 12 gun cabinet to supplement the overstuffed one and to get some of the guns out of the corners. Now that both cabinets are fully stocked there is more corner room for guns.
