What calibre/rifle combination would be suitable for taking a T-REX.

I have heard that the 6.5 Creedmoor will shoot a fly off of a T-Rex at a mile.
Never heard anything about how it would work ON a T-Rex...

If it were me though, I'd probably want something in the GAU 8 variety.
30mm with depleted uranium from an A10 Thunderbolt II.

Or maybe an 8" Paladin...

According to Reddit, so, you know, a trustworthy source, T-Rex's were about 25% larger than an adult African elephant. Assuming a Rex exhibits muscle spasms long after brain death (like a gator or a snake), I don't think you'd want to be at the bad breath distances usually associated with an elephant gun. I'd prefer to be in the standoff range of a couple hundred yards, at least. Something in the .408 Cheytac range ought to do well for a CNS shot. Failing that, I'd recommend a 155mm howitzer (firing a solid, ideally, we're not savages).

If memory serves me correctly, in the second Jurassic Park film (Lost World), the PH hired to lead the expedition carried a double rifle in .600 Nitro Express. I feel like that guy did his research.

Hands down some of the best marketing I have ever seen. I now want a model 1895.
For sure. Jurassic World even used it in their movie, see above.

Still wasn’t good enough marketing to keep them afloat. Glad Ruger bought them.
