What 2 weeks

I am torn and would like a little input. I can take off and hunt 10 days for elk in SW Montana. My dilemma is do I take off September 5th - 16th or go September 12th-23rd?
Full moon is September 23rd with new moon September 9th.

12-23 would be my answer. You are still catching pre rut and into peak.

Thanks for the reply's I think I am going to do 12-23rd or maybe even adjust the dates a little and do 10-20. Steelhead thank you for the breakdown of the 2 seasons between big bull and any bull. Also 406 I will go later because boots on the ground info is king I will hold you to that report. Good luck this fall Gents only 235 more days until season opens in MT.
