Hey all. I struck out in the draw this year, so I’m off for a pronghorn hunt with a bow. I have access to private land and a full month to shoot a buck. The pronghorn here have not been pressured but they do walk in and out under a fence. I won’t have much coverage and will likely have to crouch next to save brush.

The season runs for a long time. I wanted to get some wisdom as to go. I was thinking first week of September but not sure if it really even matters since I have acreage to myself. I feel like that early pre rut is a good start.

This will only be my second year hunting antelope and there is most definitely a learning curve to it. I don't really have any advice as mentioned above, I'm new to it as well.

Good luck!

If you have exclusive access, it depends on if antelope are using the area as their core area, or for some specific purpose. Large acreage probably more flexible than small acreage. If it's large acreage, I'm going in August when they're calm and predictable.
