I’ve done it but he had bone poking out of the knee joint. I was able to watch him for a few days before deciding to feed myself and not the coyotes. Was a nice deer with lots of potential.

I finished off a 1.5 year old 4 point whitetail years ago that had been shot in the front knee. It was holding on by a thread. Much smaller than I wanted to shoot, but felt he needed finishing off.
