Weird highway warning signs

My College Fraternity that will remain unnamed had a road sign in the game room...

it said:

"WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES"
Reminds me of my buddy who had a "Yield" sign hanging over his bed. He told me his GF's (now wife) parent freaked out when they saw it.

There was a crotchety old fart that lived down the road from us growing up. There was a highway bridge that crossed the river and he owned the corner property bordering the highway and river (less the right of way and the high water mark). Many people would use that as a river access when putting in or taking out to float, because it was indeed a legal access point. Well at some point the guy decided he didn't want people accessing the river there and so he literally dumped buckets of nails along the right of way and down to the river, and broke glass bottles all along the way to deter folks from accessing there. I was in high school and my friends and I had an idea to tick the guy off so we got a big old piece of sheet aluminum and painted it up all highway dept green with a white boarder and white lettering "NUDE BEACH". We went down there one night and spent hours cleaning up nails and glass and then sunk a couple posts and installed the sign right there at the river access adjacent to his property. Talk about people stopping. It was only there for a few weeks before some grinch took it down (maybe him), but in the time that it was up that access saw more action than it ever did.

I don't have a picture, but I always chuckle when I am driving south of CDA on Hwy 95 and see the 419.9 mile marker. I assume further south there is a 68.9 mile marker.
