weather

I'm taking a little walk along the Continental Divide and spending a couple weeks or so on the quest...
Great country have fun. The 'quest' isn't for relevance is it?? ;)

well, looks like global warming is playing hell with the weather out there. got a call from the outfitter saying there is still 3-6 feet of snow at the weitas guard station. hunt has been moved back two weeks. now we're trying for the 18th.

Theres a butt load coming in today and tonight...

In the amount of feet

Hope it still works for you... :)

lil, read that on the weather site I go to. global warming, huh? outfitter said that the hill opposite the cabin had bare spots on it, but there was snow everywhere else by the cabins. saw one skinny bear on the way back out. said he was surprised to see that. now just keeping the fingers crossed that the weather will start warming up.

Woke up to about 10" this morning, the mountains were supposed to be getting about 2'

I sure hope it starts melting off pretty quick, river fishing is opening up in about a month and I don't want it to high... :D

from the weather reports I have seen, starting to warm up a little in the lower elevations. may have to break out the tanning lotion........:D

Hey its up to 51 here.....51 mph winds that is. We have sand drifts in the valley and snowdrifts in the mtns. It snowed at 4500' in SE Idaho yesterday. Coldest Idaho spring in at least 40 years according to the weather service. Hardly any snow melt up high, still well over 100% of average.

IDHunters, found out from the outfitter that the elevation we'll be at is around 3000 feet. said the snow across the creek was melted off completely at points. when I check the weather reports, go to wunderground.com and look at the pierce area.

FINALLY!!! out of here tomorrow and heading to idaho and the bears....about damn time. see ya all laters.....

if we get a signal on the way back, will post whatever I have on the camera.

Expect lots of snow still, there will be multiple feet in places yet.

The Tone, outfitter called the other day. snow all cleared where I'm going. thankfully. still have to cross some on the way up to the cabins, but then back down into a valley. think they said we will be about 3000-3500 feet up. snow line is higher than that right now. checking out the forecast for the pierce area as it was really accurate last year. calling for upper 80's -lower 90's thru early next week.

thanks NHY. will let everyone know what happens when we head back on the road to home.

You'll be good for another couple thousand feet elevation plus by then...

The rivers will be high though, the temps are all supposed to be going thru the roof for this whole region this weekend...

You sure know how to pick the time to go... :p

Be safe TLC and good luck.... :)
