@wapiti_whackin

He could be the nicest guy on earth, just thought his Instagram page was weird. I don't really care if somebody uses a photo of mine that's out there on the Internet. But there's about a thousand of them, lots of folks I know, me, friends, girlfriend, and I'm guessing they've no idea they're on "wapiti_whackin" Instagram.

My son just asked, "hey where'd you get that pic of the big elk in the garage?" And he got blocked.

Bizarre.

Is there a fiancial motivation for numbers of followers, ads, etc?

If he could ever get anyone to sponsor him, there probably could be, though not directly from instagram.

I'm pretty sure this is a huge violation of the IG terms of service.

I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure this means you can't go ripping other peoples' photos off of facebook (or other location) without permission and post them to your own account.

Took a browse, most of the ones I saw, the guy tagged whoever the original poster was, which is ok. Enough people would need to identify their own photos and report him in order for anything to happen.

Let me explain.... Randy is a 50+ year old man pimping Leupold, Howa and Sitka. There are several 20 year old somethings pimping Skinny Tea clearing 2 million a year. We are all in the wrong business.

There's a popular guy on IG called Fat Jewish that got caught stealing other people's stuff w/o giving credit and finally got smacked. He almost had a TV show and a bunch of other deals based on stolen humor.

I wouldn't care if he were the nicest guy there is, he's not only a thief, but also a lier! He stole something and implying that it's his...over and over again. It doesn't technology hurt anyone, but if he gets away with stealing and lying with this, he'll continue on with more that could hurt someone. Alot of these types of guys only get themselves to the point of trying to be someone in the "hunting world" that they resort to poaching, which is lying and stealing, and those are two things that I despise!

He not the only one.
Shortly after I posted the picture of the big elk antler I found this year another Hunt Talk member sent me a spotting scope picture of a giant bull and asked if I thought it was the same bull as the shed. A friend of his was hunting the bull but all he got was pictures. I replied that the elk was the same bull but that the story was BS as I was the one that took the picture not his friend.
