VA elk cam

I’ve been watching and listening to bulls bugle this morning on the VA elk cam. https://dwr.virginia.gov/elk-cam/
Pretty neat. To bad none of us drew the tag.

I am headed down Sunday at daylight with the wife to check out the action. Some real giants on FB getting posted. A friend of a friend is renting his cabin to one of the tag holders for the season. So should see some elk soon.

Young kid killed this bull this morning. Pretty sure it’s the same one. Monster.

It might just be the angle, but the G1s, 2s, and 3s on the dead bull look a lot longer than the ones on the live bull.

May not be him but I remember counting 8 on the one side on video.

It is probably just the angle then. I wouldn’t think there would be too many 8 points running around in that area. It is a heck of a bull.

I am still kind of miffed that @wllm didn’t remind me to put in for the tag. I was sure this was going to be my year.

Pretty sure this one is a 7or 8 x 8, but not even close on the brows or 3rds to that boy's bull...
