Season starts this weekend but my pickup needs rear rotors and pads two weeks ago.

And most my spots are better in May anyways.

Public land turkey hunting put a whooping on him this morning. Could've killed a half dozen hens this morning. Fortunately the rain has decided to leave us alone so tomorrow morning looks good if not a bit windy.

Headed to NW NE in about 3 weeks to chase Turks. Will be my first turkey hunt since I moved back to CO in 2023.

4 gobblers total. 1 marginal spot just off the road for bird 1. A fairly decent set up for bird 2, w/ good views all around. Both archery.

15-20 min hike further in to an open draw about 100 yards downhill from 2 gobblers on the roost. I put together a blind, and have this be my starting spot when the season opens, gun/bow.
