Mountain birds have worked me over pretty darn good last few weeks. This bird made a dummy of me earlier this week.
Started at 3:15 am this morning. Found him in the dark up on the mountain. Crept within gun range of the roost. Couple very soft calls to let him know he had company. His four hens flew down and walked in to my lap. Shot him at 10 yards.
