Ya know Moosie, Tuffbucker does have priorities.....pregnant wife, new baby....give the poor guy a break!! Sheeesh!

Congrats Tuff on the new addition. Great early Christmas present i'd say. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks guys, but no baby as of yet. We are still playing the waiting game. They started the induction today, but we arent expecting a baby until tommorow.

The hardest thiing is that the baby is only 32 weeks along. She( the baby ), has had some complications throughout the pregnancy. She has fluid around her lungs. The fluid has to bee drained off by sticing a needle through my wife's belly and into the baby's chest cavity. Sometimes the fluid comes back immeidatley, some times it takes a few days. We almost lost her at 24 weeks, but then she took a miraculous turn for the better. Within the last week, things have gotten a little worse, so they have decided to deal with the problem on the outside instead of trying to keep treating it on the inside. She will have to be in the Newborn ICU for a few weeks, so we wont get to bring her home with us.

I will keep you guys posted and put up some pics ASAP.

Hang in there Mr&Mrs. Tuffbucker! Everything's gonna be alright! Thoughts and prayers from my family to yours!

Tuffbucker I know something about what you are going through. My first was born at 33 wks (at University Hospital in Salt Lake by the way, is that where you are?). They have a phenomenal staff there and that comment is coming from someone who is very anti-doctor. Anyway it's hugely tough, what you are going through right now. It will take a lot of patience and a lot of nerve over the next several weeks. The baby is going to be small and fragile looking. What to concentrate on though is at 10 years old my son is healthy, tall, and quite frankly giggling and making a mess of my house this morning :) . That's what you will see too in 10 years. Keep your focus on that.

My thoughts are with you and your wife. All my best wishes.

~Karen

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your famiuly. been there done that with my neice a few years ago and now she is a vibrant, beautiful girl that loves life and healthy as can be. Keep your chin up and the love flowing and all will be well.

Poor kid.. never going to know the joy of Christmas presents AND birthday presents.. It will always be just one big jumble of gifts and celebration. I feel sorry for second half December and first half January birthdays. Especially the January birthdays..

Oh?????Wait a minute. I'm a January baby.. Now I know why it bothers me..

Seriously though.. Good luck Tuff.. I hope it's healthy with all it's fingers and toes and ears and eyes and all the normal standard equipment.

Thanks for all your kind wishes and thoughts. My daughter, Maddisyn Maree, was born C-Section on 12/22/04 at 1305 hrs., and has been fighting for her life since. She was born at LDS Hospital, but had to be transfered to Primary Childrens Hospital, where she is currently in very critical condition. Unfortunately the prognosis is not a positive one, the docotrs and staff are doing everything they can right to keep her alive. They are currently trying a procedure that is not normally done on babies of her age, so hopefully everything will work. All we can do now is hope and pray that she will pull through.........Tis the Season for Miracles!! :)

As for the Mrs....she is doing suprisingly well, considering all that is going on. She wasn't able to see the baby until today. Luckily the Dr.'s gave her a leave of absence from LDS Hospital, and allowed me to take her up to see our daughter for a few hours today. Hopefully, if my wife keeps progressing as she is right now, she'll get to come home for Christmas.

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts and prayers. May you all have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Scott
