Trying to decide what state to hunt Mule Deer

Hey all, I've just ben reading this forum for the last couple months and I thought I would finally join the fun. Due to some of my last party getting older and the rest wanting to invite other members(the group was getting too big) I have decided to start my own group. The trouble is we are not sure which state to hunt, we are concentrating on CO, MT, or WY. I have hunted region R in WY mostly but it seams harder every year to draw a tag. I'm looking for decent deer numbers (not really looking for trophies) plenty of public land and few hunters(ha ha who isn't?)

I have always wanted to hunt MT but is the extra cost for a tag worth it? Thanks for any help.

Montana will have you covered on the first two, few hunters not so much.

Anywhere you go you will find few hunters once you get a couple of miles from a road or trail.
