yea, I feel you dog. Mine are gone on loan. Not that i"d have them out myself, but I have a hard time recovering them after awhile. They kind of feel entitled to ownership.

I hear ya. I loaned a couple to my dad and then he loaned them to his buddy. Poof. Gone.

Idaho Trapper Association fur sale this weekend. Top Bobcat sold for $3,016.23! I’ve never heard of a cat price near that level.

Cats were real high back in 2013. I was lucky enough to have one in the top lot at NAFA.

Questions for all of you dirt hole predator trappers.

How long do you leave your sets go without re-baiting or putting new lure?
I seem to have the most luck with my diurt hole sets 1-2 days after adding fresh lure or bait.
I also don't like to mess around the set anymore than necessary. I do have a problem with using wax paper after a rain it appears to be settling into the trap and then hardening and that is causing me some issues. Not so many problems regarding freezing up here I live.

Just curious how often you guys fix your sets.

3-5 days?

I do once a week on reluring but I dont go light on lure since we are low humidity here

Very nice!

My fur selling locations was a circle. NAFA before they went bankrupt (got very low settlement prices on a few items at the final reduction sale), Nevada and Idaho local sales. In the end, local fur buyer was my easiest and best prices.

I didn’t trap this year and wish I had. Marten are high and cats haven’t lost value (I think). Warm winter would have made trap check very often.

Feet on fox only a couple bucks more ain’t worth it for me. I’d need more than a couple bucks to make it worth the effort.
