Don’t get much deeper catch than that in the bridger #3

Usually giving em a hard way to go. The winter this year has been awful with freeze and thaw cycles. Typically running a mix of dirt holes and scent post sets.

Alright - time for me to stop lolly-gagging.

Deer is over and I have like 69 days before turkey season, so it’s time to do some work.

Current standing:
38 raccoon
14 possum
1 coyote
Total 53

Looking to 5x that in the next two months.

Here goes nothing!





Today was supposed to be my “rest day” after getting back from Florida. In between each load of laundry and chores I was setting more traps.

I think I have 15 dog proofs, 10 550s, and a few 1.5s out.

I’ve got so many more to go.

Are you targeting coon or fox with your 1.5s? I’ve always just ran dp for coons. When I’m targeting coons I just think of all the turkeys I’m saving haha. Nice haul so far sir

Coons, possums, and and groundhogs are what I usually go for with the 1.5s.

I love dog proofs and mainly use those, but once I picked up all these 1.5s I started doing all kinds of fun sets with them.

It’s been pretty successful too. They are addicting to play with.

I’m with you, I’m always trying to save the turkeys!

I’m going to cry out loud a little.

Two highschool kids asked if they could fish some of the farm ponds last night.

Well that magically turned around in a spot no where near the ponds.



Well the spot is where I just set up a killer dirt hole full of sign.

I asked them to look and sure enough….
My 550 got some love….



This was yesterday and I planned to go reset it today at lunch….

I liked the post but really didn't like it if that makes since haha! Thats a bummer for sure. Trail cams are handy but sometimes ignorance is bliss lol

I agree!

The reason I have this one set is I have a digger that’s been kicking my butt. I’ve been trying to see if I can figure how they are approaching and adjust according.

Normally I much prefer to put nothing out near coyote sets. They see them and disappear.

Bobcat spots. Now that’s a different story!
