With 2 trips out west this year plus a busy work schedule, my season here in Pennsylvania has been severely cramped. I had two evenings to get out for fall turkey and was able to find 6 hens on the last evening. One of them paused long enough for a shot and thanksgiving dinner was served.

This morning was the opener for rifle deer season and I am leaving for Arizona on Wednesday so taking more time off work was not in the cards. I figured I could sneak in an hour this morning and an hour in the evening if all went well at work. As it turned out, I was in my usual spot early and as it came light, I watched a group of does feeding across the hillside. With no bucks in sight I decided to move. I no sooner stood up and spotted another deer behind me. A quick look and I knew it was a legal buck so a quick 180 yard shot and my season here ended.

Congratulations

Your turkey is so dark, I thought you had taken a Florida bird.

Way to go! Sometimes it happens quick, sometimes it takes a while, and for me a lot of the time it never happens at all! Lol. I've learned not to pass the gimmes, because the next will probably make up for it.
