Interesting article, I’ve had better luck killing elk by letting other hunters hunt the dark timber and driving them into my shooting spot.

It is a good article. In my mind, not the most efficient way to kill elk, but one of the best hunts I had was a late season timber stalk. Tracked a group of elk for probably a half mile and eventually came to a small opening and shot a cow at about 20 yards. I think about that hunt all the time!

Good article. Hunting elk in the dark timber is my preferred method. I've never been one to spend much time behind a spotting scope in open country. I also enjoy the challenge of making my shots inside of 100 yards.
