Here's a quote from Foot-loser Montana's facebook page. It's starting to sink in that they didn't win the D-day, battle they soooo longed for. So now their working idea's. Here's one. You got to give em credit for trying, (stupid) but lots of effort.

Ok here is a readers idea, and A GREAT ONE! LET'S ALL BUY TAGS!!! How about this. I am going to have everyone I know that supports wolves go
out and buy the
maximum number of tags. Then they can report a "kill" to FWP, hell make it 3
(remember FWP
doesn't require proof of kill). These 3 wolves will be taken out of that
... years quota. All I need is 150
people x 3 fake kills apiece = 450 "killed" wolves towards the quota.

Once that quota is reached, no trapping season. the trapping season on
wolves is only going to
happen after general rifle is done and the quota is not met, so there you
go.

Complain all you want that this is a blatantly illegal approach to wolf
management, but I guarantee
that there are wolf haters killing them in the field and not reporting on a
daily basis (S.S.S. bumper
stickers).

tags for locals only $19.00!!!

If they want to buy tags, who am I to stop them. LOL:D

Are there any laws broken for false reporting to FWP in regards to a harvest? It would be nice for a bunch of them to buy tags and report the false kills only to find out they are getting ticketed for false reporting with no refund on the tag!

In Idaho we have this rule:

Additionally, any hunter
killing a wolf must, within 10 days of the date of kill,
present the skull and hide to a Fish and Game regional
office or conservation officer for removal and retention
of a premolar tooth and to have the hide tagged with
an official state export tag.

I would be surprised if MT doesn't have something similar.

We did, but the whackos in the legislature, in response to Toby Bridges and SFW, took that requirement out of the code. So now, you can leave the carcass and don't have to claim it. The bill was a re-writing of the Fish and Game code, because as Senator Jim Shockley (R-Victor) put it, "maybe we wouldn't have to do this if we didn't monkey around with these laws so much."

We need a "I killed a wolf" tax credit for the state. Anyone who actually kills a wolf should be able to claim this credit on their taxes.
As for reporting wolf kills...if foot loose wants to lie then...I suppose a game warden currently has the ability to demand they be shown the sight of the kill and I'm sure laws for falsifying information or tampering or perjury etc. apply.

Unbelievable stupidity.

I know who that stupid #$%^@ is. I even know where she lives. She is a senile old hag that claims her dog got caught in a trap once. Now she is on a mission to shut down trapping/hunting.

That is one whacked facebook page. Mentioned on there how I loved hunting and teaching my daughters to hunt and its been nonstop messages. Guess the life of a wolf is more valuable than the life of a human, or so I've been told. My father warned me that there were people like that but being young and foolish I never believed him. I do now!!!
