Hello everyone,

I have watched OYOA for the last few seasons. I'm not a huge watcher of hunting shows as they tend to drive me nuts with being more of shooting animal shows than hunting, but OYOA got me hooked. Found this site while doing a web search trying to figure out why I can't find the show anymore.

So, I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Colorado (Denver Metro) after college to get more diverse hunting. Spent 20 years there. Finally got the opportunity to move the family this winter to Silt Colorado (in between Rifle and Glenwood Springs). So I have more hunting opportunities for myself and my boys. I have 2, a 15 y/o and a 18 y/o. I can't tell you how nice it is that my youngest can come home from school, we can eat dinner and he can say "can we go turkey hunting tonight", within 15 minutes we can be out with shotgun in hand trying to figure out how to get a turkey. I haven't figured the whole turkey hunting thing out yet.

Looking forward to becoming part of the community here, seems to be a great site.

And thank you Randy for a great show, can't wait to see the new one.

if you shoot a bow there is a range at south canyon exit. Also a 3D shoot is Basalt in a week.

killed my bull 40 minutes aftr leaving a work mtg in Silt last year, so yeah you moved to a nice spot. pretty convenient for hunters.

Khunter - any chance you could tell me what kind of hunting pressure there is at Garfield Creek SWA during the big game seasons? Is it bad? Trying to figure out if I would be able to pick my son up from school and hunt there during 1st and 2nd seasons in the evenings. His school is basically across the Colorado River from it. We have been through it a few times looking for turkeys but haven't been off of the main road as it's closed during the off season.
