The Great HT 2026 weigh in.

Not raining, no tornadoes nearby, wind not blowing 30. Perfect time to air up the tires on the 21 speed. Made a quick 2 mile round trip to warm the legs up. Just a hair under 11 minutes. I'll have to get back in the swing of things and put more miles in.

Great thread. I could use the extra motivation so I will play along.

I last weighed on 6/20, was 218. My goal is 200 by September 1st and 190 by November 1st. Started at 225 on May 19th so have made some progress so far. I have developed an insertional achilles issue on my right foot so that has slowed me down some. I bought a stair machine for the house. I have to use it in my hiking boots and make sure never to let my heel drop below the level of my toes to keep from aggravating the tendon. We will see how it goes.

Got down to 203 in mid May. Then had hip surgery. Went back up to 215 and now back down to 208. Still dont have the doc signed of on real exercise but hoping to be at 190 by September!

Was hanging around 160 for quite a while earlier this spring. Even saw as low as 157.
Have since started lifting again after taking a couple months off. Been putting on a decent amount of muscle and am back up to 166 this morning.

185 this morning. Sweatin’ like a rented mule yesterday working on a motherloving desert spoon in the front yard. Why would anyone think that’s good for landscaping? Its four foot long serrated leaves are wicked. Think I’ll have a rager with three beers and two tacos tonight then pass out all stuffed. Because skinny Ben can’t hang like husky Ben used to.

I have a shared spreadsheet and a bet with a friend to log more workouts, steps, and better sleep than the other for like $100 plus a point differential.

We added a 10 point kicker for weight goals. I have to gain ten pounds of muscle (180 -> 190), and he has to lose 20 lbs.

Mine feels tougher.... But i still have 5 months. Up 1 lb today

I’m going to jump in here. I’m turning 69 in a few weeks. On June 15th I weighed 215.8, my goal was to get down to 200 through modifying my eating habits and exercising for my October 3rd Mid Season Wasatch elk hunt. Last Monday the Sheep Gods smiled upon me and I drew an AZ Desert Big Horn Tag. I decided to focus only on that hunt and am turning the Utah elk tag back in. My new goal is 195 by December 1. 208.5 this morning. It might be hard to get into sheep shape for someone my age, but I sure will try!!

Congrats on the sheep tag. Give her hell and keep pounding away at it. Your body will appreciate all the hard work next year!
