The Great HT 2026 weigh in.

Some of you guys need to knock off the Doritos.
How did you know? Coscto chips and dips at the exciting NY movie night. Nowhere to go but down from here.
I'm going to have to find my ice cleats and glacier glasses for my walk today. I haven't bought my 2026 hunting license, so of course I will see some furred out coyotes.

FWIW - Five years ago my brother and I did a diet accountability contest. I started at 283 lbs.I started trending down after I got off the road and left the drive-though lunches behind.

I seriously doubt I am going to change my calorie intake much, just the quality of it post-holiday. The main point of this thread for me is to have 12 monkeys asking me if I walked. I just need to be accountable and keep the trend going, particularly in the cardio. If there is one thing the HT family is good for it's busting your chops.

I’m in. 200 even this morning. 6 years ago I was a shredded 150, beat shape of my life. Then I decided to get married for the third time and have 3 kids. Advanced disc degeneration and a dozen back procedures that have done nothing. Most recently lost my dad, my best friend and business partner. Got diagnosed with anxiety disorder and put on anti depressants. Literally gained 30lbs in the last year alone since my dad died. Done making excuses, ditched the depression meds a month ago, getting back to eating meat and drinking water. Once I shed some, I’ll ease back into my workouts as my back allows. Want to be back to 160-150 by Oct 26.

Started the year off eating pumpkin pie like a pizza slice with morning coffee and weighing in at 215.

Did the same thing with a leftover slice of cinnamon sugar Dutch baby on my way to work today. Don’t have a scale handy yet, but really need to get one. Between 215-220. I’d like to see under 200 this year.

180.0 this morning. Leaving for Mexico for a week tomorrow morning. Beach, pool time, and margaritas probably won’t help.

I’ll weigh in again when I return home and start for real then. Just trying to get back to 165. Need to cut out the excess beer and get back to healthier habits after the holidays.

How many of you folks on food restrictive diets take a cheat day? I thought maybe one day of the weekend would be good for a little splurge for a treat. I've really been trying to be careful about what I eat as well as portions. Decided I wanted to have baked ham today. I still watched my portions but I treated myself to some peach cobbler with peaches and cream ice cream for dessert. Full disclosure, breakfast was 2 hard boiled eggs and lunch was a banana. Back to the restrictive stuff and exercise tomorrow.

One meal won’t break you. I’ve been eating around 180 to 190 grams of protein thru my day. That didn’t include dinner with the kids I don’t get crazy about trying to hold to a strict diet but we eat good anyways. I still weigh what i can for that meal and eat in moderation. Most days 2200-2300 calories and 220+ grams of protein and around 200 for carbs. I’m now down 32# since start of November

Looks good Dave, but no cheat days here. I have too addictive of a personality to do that. Nothing but meat, coffee and water for me going on 3 weeks
My problem(?) is I have stuff in the freezer that I just don't want to throw out! I paid for it, dammit, and I'm gonna eat it! :ROFLMAO: In moderation, of course. Not going to scarf down a pizza any time soon but a nice hearty meal once in a while breaks up the salads and low cal stuff.
