Saw both episodes last week and watching them again tonight on PBS because the wife called her dad and asked him about growing up outside of Douglas WY. His comment was, "Listen very close to what the government said and attempted to do. Still the same today."
Hmmmm???

Hunted birds in the Comanche Grasslands of SE CO which was greatly affected by this. We went and snooped around several of the abandoned houses out there which still had sand piled up against the house and outbuildings 5-6 feet deep in places. Open areas of the yards were scoured down to the hardpack and thirty feet away would be drifts of sand. That must have been some time!
